The universe only responds to your intentions, so the more clear your intentions are, the faster the universe can respond. Think of it as a motor boat with multiple motors attached to the back. If all of the motors are pointing in different directions, the boat has a lot of problems moving forward toward any specific destination. That is what committing half-heartedly does. It dilutes the focus of the intention and doesn't allow for forward motion very easily. If you commit fully, your focus and intention are very clear and all of the motors on the boat are pointing in the same direction and the boat moves very quickly towards it's destination.
